Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 pears, ground up
    6 medium onions
    8 green bell peppers
    4 red bell peppers
    2 hot peppers
    6 c. apple vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    In 3 separate containers, cover the ground pears, chopped onions and peppers with boiling water.
    Let set for 1 hour. Drain these completely.
    Combine all ingredients in a large container.
    Bring to a rolling boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal.
    Process in boiling water for 20 minutes.
    Yields 10 to 12 pints.
    Delicious with meats and vegetables.
    Great on hot dogs.
