Carmelitas(Tastes Like A Candy Bar) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 vanilla caramels
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 roll chocolate chip cookie dough
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    pecan halves
Preparation
    In top of double boiler, melt caramels and evaporated milk. Stir until smooth.
    Slice cookie dough 1/4-inch thick.
    Pat dough to make a crust in 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool slightly.
    Sprinkle chocolate pieces over warm cookie base.
    Carefully spread caramel mixture on top.
    Cool 1 to 2 hours.
    Cut into 36 squares.
    Top each with pecan half.
