Oat Cakes(From Nova Scotia) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. rolled oats
3 c. sifted flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1 lb. lard or shortening (I use margarine)
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar and salt together.
Add rolled oats (either kind).
Cut in shortening or margarine.
Add enough cold water to mix.
Roll out in graham flour or regular flour, if you prefer. Cut into squares.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
