Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sweet milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 yeast cake
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    8 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Scald milk with sugar and shortening; cool to lukewarm.
    Then add yeast dissolved in the warm water.
    Add the flour.
    Let rise until double in bulk and then add salt, soda and baking powder. Add additional flour (about 1 cup) to make a soft dough.
    Place in bowl.
    Grease surface of the dough and cover and place in refrigerator.
    Make rolls as wanted.
    Take out amount needed and let rise.
    Rolls will last a week or ten days.
