Sour Cream Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 6 large cucumbers
    6 Vidalia onions
    salt
    1/2 c. Crisco oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. sour cream
    4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Peel and slice cucumbers and onions thin.
    Soak in salt water (ice water) for 3 hours.
    Drain.
    Mix equal amounts of Crisco oil and vinegar.
    Let soak for 2 to 3 hours.
    Drain and rinse.
    Mix sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Add to cucumbers and onions.
    Chill an hour before serving.
