Swiss Chard Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch Swiss chard
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    48 oz. chicken broth
    6 slices bacon (crisp)
    1 onion, diced fine
    3 c. diced potatoes
    1 pt. half and half
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp and crumble; set aside.
    Saute onion in margarine.
    Add chicken broth and potatoes.
    Cook until potatoes are about half done.
    Now, add chard stems (sliced thinly).
    Cook until nearly done and add leaves (chopped finely).
    Cook another 5 minutes, then add half and half and salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and sprinkle bacon on each serving.
