Texas Sheet Cake(Very Good!!!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 stick oleo
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk (1/2 tsp. lemon juice to 1/2 c. milk may be substituted)
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Sift sugar and flour.
Bring shortening, oleo, water and cocoa to a boil.
Pour this over the mixture of flour and sugar.
Mix together well and add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, soda and salt. Pour into a greased sheet pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
