10 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 whole green pepper
    1 red onion
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
    8 stalks celery
    8 oz. sour cream
    11 oz. mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. grated cheese (Swiss, Cheddar, Parmesan or mixed)
    1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    Place lettuce in 9 x 12-inch pan, no deeper than 3-inches. Then layer finely chopped pepper and onion.
    Then peas and finely chopped celery.
    Mix sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Spread evenly. Sprinkle sugar evenly, then cheese.
    Cover.
    Let stand 24 hours in refrigerator.
    Crumble bacon on top.
    Several hours before serving, cut into squares the desired serving size.
