Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
    1 heaping c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    5 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. salt
    4 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
    raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over 2 cups All-Bran and set aside.
    Cream the shortening and
    sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add buttermilk and scalded bran. Sift flour, soda and salt and add 4 cups All-Bran to liquid mixture. Beat until blended. Add raisins. This can be stored in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
    Muffins can be baked at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
