Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. water

Preparation

Place apple slices in an 8-inch square baking dish.
Combine 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
Dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar and flour in a small saucepan.
Add 1/4 cup butter and water.
Place over medium heat until syrup boils, stirring constantly.
Pour half of the syrup over apples.
Prepare pastry and place over apples. Dot with remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Pour remaining half of syrup over top of pastry and bake 20 more minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
