Veal Cordon Bleu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (4 oz. each) boneless veal cutlets
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    4 slices cooked ham
    4 slices Swiss cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. day bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Pound veal until 1/4-inch thick.
    Place a slice of ham and cheese on each piece of veal.
    Roll up carefully, beginning at narrow end, secure rolls with wooden picks.
