Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla or rum flavoring
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. finely chopped red and green candied cherries
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
    3/4 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar; blend in milk and flavoring.
    Stir in flour, chopped candies and chopped pecans. Form dough into two 8-inch rolls.
    Roll in flaked coconut to coat outside.
    Wrap in waxed paper or clear plastic wrap.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until edges are golden, 12 minutes.
