Lettuce Overnight Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn up
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    2 Tbsp. sugar (over onion)
    1 small pkg. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. salad dressing
    5 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 slices bacon
Preparation
    Cook and crumble bacon.
    Layer first 6 ingredients.
    Spread salad dressing over the top.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours or overnight.
    Toss before serving.
