Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. flavoring (any flavor)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in large saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Boil without stirring until temperature reaches hard crack stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in flavoring.
    Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    When completely cool, crack into small pieces.
    Put into large plastic bag with small amount of powdered sugar.
    Shake to coat.
