Risotto (Rice) Milanese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 crushed garlic bud
    1 1/2 c. rice
    6 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. basil
    salt and pepper
    pinch of powdered saffron
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    6 pork sausages
Preparation
    Cook onion, garlic and rice in olive oil slowly for about 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Season with basil, salt and pepper (if necessary) and add chicken broth to rice a little at a time, mixing constantly as the rice absorbs the liquid.
    Add saffron. Cook about 30 minutes or until rice is tender and quite moist, but not mushy and soft.
    Stir in cheese just before serving.
    Serve with pork sausage.
