India Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

14 ripe tomatoes, peeled
12 tart apples, peeled
7 small onions, peeled
1 sweet red pepper, seeded
1 c. raisins
2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
Preparation

Chop coarsely the tomatoes, apples, onions and pepper. Combine all ingredients and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, about 1 1/2 hours or until mixture is thick and clear.
Ladle into hot, sterilized jars.
Seal at once.
Makes about 7 pints.
