Low Calorie Chili(280 Calories Per Serving) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 c. sliced celery
    1 c. chopped onions
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 lb. ground beef round steak
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    chili powder
Preparation
    In large pot over medium heat in hot oil, cook celery, onions, green pepper and garlic until onions are tender, about 5 minutes. Add meat and cook until meat is browned, stirring occasionally. Stir in kidney beans, tomatoes and their liquid, salt and 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder; heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer 40 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Just before serving, stir in enough chili powder to give desired \"hotness\". Makes 6 servings.
