Traditional Potato Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes, peeled
    1 medium onion
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. vegetable oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Grate potatoes and onion with grating disc of food processor or large holes of a hand grater.
    Squeeze mixture to get out as much liquid as possible.
    Transfer to bowl; add egg, salt, pepper, flour and baking powder.
    Mix together until well blended by hand. Heat 1/2 cup oil in deep skillet.
