Hermits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. flour
    2 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    4 eggs
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. dark seedless raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Into a large bowl, measure all ingredients except raisins and nuts.
    With mixer at medium speed, beat until well blended.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Refrigerate, covered, about 3 hours. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    On greased cookie sheet, drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire rack.
    Makes 3 dozen.
