Savory Lentil Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. chicken broth, vegetable broth or water
    3/4 c. uncooked lentils
    1/2 c. uncooked brown rice
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. each salt, oregano, thyme and garlic powder
    1/2 to 1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake, covered, at 300\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until most of the liquid is absorbed. During the last 20 minutes of baking, top with grated Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.
