Miz Polly'S Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Stir together sugar, cocoa and cornstarch.
    Separate egg yolks from egg whites. Add 1/2 cup milk to egg yolks.
    Mix egg yolks and milk together.
    Add remaining milk (1 cup) to sugar mixture and stir. Add milk and egg mixture, then add vanilla. Cook in double boiler until thick.
    Pour in cooked pie shell and top with meringue.
