Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. water
    2 c. flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    sifted powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar. Mix in vanilla and water. Add flour and pecans; blend well. Chill until firm (1 to 2 hours).
    Shape into crescents and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325\u00b0 about 20 minutes or until edges are pale brown. Cool slightly; roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
    Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
