Nippersink Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. vegetable oil
    3 eggs
    1 heaping c. cooked and mashed prunes
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Beat together 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and oil until well blended.
    Sift together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and 1 teaspoon soda.
    Add this to the blended egg mixture alternately with 1/2 cup buttermilk.
    Add prunes, nuts and vanilla.
    Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
