Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Mix cocoa in hot water to make a smooth paste; set aside to cool.
Mix together sugar and shortening, then add eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, then stir in chocolate and vanilla.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
