Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    8 c. beef broth
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    2 c. celery, sliced
    3/4 c. carrots, sliced
    1 c. zucchini, chopped
    1 c. cabbage, shredded
    1 c. potato, cubed
    2 (19 oz.) cans cannellini beans or any white beans
    2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    3 bay leaves
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
    1/2 c. macaroni (elbow, bows, wheels, etc.)
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
Preparation
    In a 4-quart pot, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
    Add broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, carrots, celery, zucchini, cabbage, potato, oregano, basil, pepper and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
