Summer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped cucumbers
    5 medium onions, chopped
    4 garlic, chopped
    3 large sweet peppers
    1/2 c. plain salt
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 Tbsp. mustard
Preparation
    Put the first 5 ingredients into ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain.
    Mix the remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a rolling boil. Heat jars.
    Can while hot.
