Molasses Crunch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 beaten egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix well and chill thoroughly.
    Roll in small balls.
    Dip in sugar.
    Press flat with bottom of glass.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen.
