Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sweet butter
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour (plain)
    8 eggs
    8 Tbsp. coffee cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Separate the eggs.
    Whip the egg whites and add 8 tablespoons of sugar while beating.
    When finished, place in refrigerator while rest of cake is being mixed.
    Cream the butter and add gradually the rest of the sugar.
    Whip until light.
    Add egg yolks, about 2 at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour and cream a little at a time.
    Whip until the mixture is as light as possible on low speed.
    With mixer at low speed, whip in the egg whites only long enough to mix well.
    Pour batter into a lightly greased tube pan 10 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep. Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes at 300\u00b0.
