Cream Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening (butter flavor Crisco)
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Bring shortening and water to a boil in saucepan; sift flour and salt together.
    Add to boiling water all at once, beating vigorously until mixture is thick and smooth so it will not stick to sides of pan.
    Remove from burner.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition until smooth.
    Drop mixture from teaspoon about 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
    Mixture should hold its shape and not spread.
    Bake in very hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 400\u00b0; bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Should be firm and crisp, but not too brown.
    Cool.
    Split and fill with pimento cheese, chicken salad, jam or pudding.
