French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 onions
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 clove garlic
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 cans beef broth
    1 can chicken broth
    1 c. white wine
    French bread
    Mozzarella or Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Thinly chop the onions; saute in butter until limp.
    Add flour, garlic and sugar.
    Cook over medium heat until golden brown.
    In a large pot, put beef broth, chicken broth and white wine.
    Add onion mixture; simmer for 45 minutes (pinch of parsley and thyme are optional).
    Cut French bread about 1-inch thick and toast.
    Place 2 slices of cheese in bottom of soup bowl.
    Pour in hot soup; add slice of bread.
    Top with another slice of cheese. Place under the broiler until cheese melts.
