Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Drain clams.
    Reserve liquid.
    Add enough water to liquid to measure 3 cups.
    In large pot, add all ingredients to liquid, except clams.
    Bring to boil and reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
    Mash lightly to thicken. Add clams.
    Heat through.
    Serves 3.
