Chicken Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 whole broiler-fryer chickens
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    8 c. water
Preparation
    Place chickens in a large pot or Dutch oven.
    Sprinkle chickens, inside and out, with salt and pepper.
    Add water.
    Bring to boiling.
    Cover and cook for 50 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender.
    Remove chickens to serving platter.
    Cut into serving portions.
    Keep chicken warm while dumplings cook.
