Ten Day Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lg. head cabbage
    1 lg. onion
    1/2 bell pepper
    2 pieces celery
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. apple cider vinegar
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1 sm. jar pimento, drained and chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Chop and mix first 4 ingredients.
    Add sugar.
    Mix vinegar and oil and bring to a boil.
    Pour over vegetables and chill.
    Stir occasionally to coat.
    Pimento can be added for color, if desired. Do not add carrots as they will bleed after a day.
