Beef Tacos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small Spanish onion, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
2 Tbsp. ground mild red chile and 2 Tbsp. ground hot red chile or 2 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
3/4 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
salsa
1/2 head lettuce
12 taco shells
Preparation

Heat the oven to 225\u00b0.
Warm the taco shells in the heated oven.
Brown the beef in a frying pan.
Stir in the ground chiles, oregano, cumin, garlic and salt.
Cook until the flavors blend about 5 minutes.
Take the taco shells from the oven and raise the heat to 400\u00b0.
Fill the taco shells with the meat mixture.
Add cheese.
Heat in the oven until cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Top with lettuce, onion and tomato.
Serve with salsa.
