Peppermint Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter Crisco
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. crushed peppermint candy
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars; beat in eggs. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Stir into creamed mixture. Fold in candy.
    Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookie edges just begin to brown.
