Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. chopped cabbage
    1 1/2 c. onions, rings or diced
    4 bread slices, cubed
    1 lb. pork sausage, cooked and drained
    2 tsp. margarine
    2 tsp. flour
    1/8 c. milk
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Parboil cabbage and onions for 7 minutes; drain.
    Make a white sauce with margarine, flour, milk and pepper.
    Add 1/2 pound of cubed cheese.
    Stir until sauce is smooth.
    Layer half of cabbage mixture, bread and 1/3 of sausage into a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Repeat layer of cabbage, layer of sausage and layer of bread.
    Top with sauce and remaining sausage.
