Munnie'S English Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients and mix with raisins and pecans.
Make syrup of 2 cups ribbon cane syrup, 2 sticks oleo and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a rolling boil and boil 1 minute.
Pour slowly over 4 beaten eggs while continuing to beat.
Add flour mixture to syrup and stir.
Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan or 2 small tube pans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
Put a pan of hot water in bottom of oven to bake cake.
