Minted Berry Soup - cooking recipe

4 c. strawberries, boysenberries or raspberries
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 bottle California Sauterne
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/3 c. cold water
mint sprigs
Preparation

Wash and hull berries.
Crush berries lightly with a fork. Place in a saucepan; stir in brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
Add Sauterne; bring to a boil.
Add chopped mint; simmer 2 or 3 minutes.
