Western Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 small can tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. noodles, cooked
    1 can Niblet's corn per layer
    grated cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat in shortening.
    Mix meat, onion, bell pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste and water.
    Make a layer of noodles and a layer of meat mixture in casserole dish.
    Add layer of corn if desired.
    Repeat until ingredients are used.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Bake about 20 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
