Mom'S Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 Hershey bars (large ones)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla.
    Stir in flour and salt until well blended.
    Pat into 13 x 10-inch rectangle on greased pan.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes until browned (will be soft).
    Melt chocolate in microwave on 50% power for 1 to 2 minutes. Immediately place melted chocolate on top.
    Sprinkle with nuts. Yields 6 to 7 dozen.
