Calico Bean Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. (1/2 lb.) bacon
8 oz. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce (undrained)
1 (16 oz.) can butter beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation

In a large skillet, cook bacon, beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain off fat. In a 3-quart casserole or bean pot, combine the 3 beans, brown sugar, water, ketchup, vinegar and mustard. Stir in meat mixture until well combined. Cover the casserole or bean pot. Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes until heated through. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
