Hot Fudge Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tall can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Melt butter over hot water in double boiler.
    Drop in chocolate and allow to melt.
    Add sugar gradually.
    Be sure sugar is completely moistened after each addition; will be very thick and dry.
    Add salt and milk.
    Heat until sugar crystals have melted.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 1 quart.
    Keeps in refrigerator for weeks. Can be thinned with evaporated milk.
