Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks (save whites)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut flakes
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add Crisco and cream well.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Sift flour and soda together.
    Add to mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
    Stir in other ingredients except egg whites.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in mixture.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched.
