Grit Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    6 slices toast (unbuttered)
    1 onion, chopped
    6 to 8 eggs, beaten with a little water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a skillet, melt butter.
    Saute onion.
    Add toast, torn into pieces.
    Stir to soak up butter.
    Pour in eggs, salt and pepper. Cook until firm.
