Mom'S Best-Ever Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1/2 lb. sharp cheese sliced or 3/4 lb. extra sharp
Preparation
    Bring 3 quarts water to a boil in a large kettle; add 1 tablespoon salt and the macaroni.
    Boil until tender.
    Drain macaroni and rinse with hot water.
    Put in a buttered casserole (about 2-quart size).
