Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2/3 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 (No. 303) can creamed corn
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1 lb. ground beef, browned
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 large jalapenos, finely chopped
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar and American cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease big 10 or 12-inch ovenproof skillet.
    Sprinkle lightly with cornmeal and brown slightly. Combine in bowl the cornmeal, soda, salt, milk, eggs, corn and bacon drippings.
    Pour half of batter in skillet; spread evenly. Add rest of ingredients as listed, one at a time.
    Add remaining batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
