Tomato-Pepper Saute - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers, cut in 1/4-inch strips
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    4 large tomatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. dried basil
Preparation
    Saute
    green peppers and onions in oil over medium heat for 10\tminutes.
    Add
    remaining
    ingredients, stirring well. Cover, reduce
    heat
    and
    simmer 15 minutes.
    Yields 10 to 12 servings.
