Almond Rice Hot Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sausage
    1 1/2 c. uncooked brown rice
    2 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped
    2/3 c. sliced almonds
    3/4 c. diced celery
    5 green onions, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, chopped
    1 1/2 pkg. chicken soup mix, mixed with water as directed
Preparation
    Brown sausage, celery, rice, onions and green pepper in frypan. Cook and stir over medium heat until meat and rice are brown.
    Drain off any grease or the rice will not brown. Drain mushrooms;\treserve
    liquid
    to add to water used in soup mix. When
    meat\tmixture is brown, add drained mushrooms (chopped), half of the almonds and the soup mix.
    Turn into buttered dish and sprinkle
    remaining
    almonds
    on top.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8.
