Jelly Dot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. melted margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    jam or jelly
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and soda. Set aside. Combine margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla. Beat for 1 minute or until smooth and slightly thickened.
    Add dry ingredients and blend well.
    Chill until dough is firm to handle.
