Hamburger Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. diced celery
    2 (6 oz.) cans bean sprouts, rinsed and drained*
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. brown gravy (optional)
    1 small can mushrooms, drained
Preparation
    *Can use water chestnuts and chow mein vegetables, then only use 1 can bean sprouts.
